Language Selection

I play on MacOS so for past months I've been using origin. Today I decided to switch to ea app because it is finally available. I'd had my game in english but when I installed it on ea app it changed to czech (i'm not sure if it's really czech but that's what I assume). I couldn't choose english (only polish, czech and russian) but then english appeared so I chose it. When my game installed it was still in czech even though I'd chosen english. Does anybody know what can I do?

After the last update Sims 4 refused to launch, after repairing the game it launched... in Czech. Looked into game properties like it used to be in Origin hoping to see a language drop-down selection and nothing. Deleted the game, downloaded it again, choose English language, same thing. Refused to launch and after repairing it launched in Czech. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Czech Republic or its people, but I don't speak Czech, I've never lived in Czechia.

Has anyone encountered something like that? Is it some mischievous plan to lure me to Prague?

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I've spent like two hours talking to a number of representatives of customer support and I've been repeatedly told that they can't really do anything and directed me to post a question here.

I mean one might see learning Czech as a benefit, but it's not something I intended to do in my free time. 

Was hoping it would be fixed in the most recent update but no luck(

Maybe there is some launch command that can be used to force the game to start in English? 

Any news? Any possible solutions?

When you uninstalled the game, did you also remove any of the DLC packs? There is a possibility that something like this will happen if the DLC or the game serial number is obtained from an unofficial source, which will then change the whole version of the game. 

Yes I did completely uninstall all DLCs and all files. And the game and all packs were purchased via Origin

Your game has been activated using a serial number that includes only the Czech, Polish, and Russian language packs. It seems that the team may have overlooked this if you previously activated a different version with an EA Play membership, etc. Now that the game is free for all users, I recommend contacting the support team again and asking them to remove the old version of the game from your account. This will allow you to activate and download the free version.

Ok, just one question. If one was to do as you have outlined to ask support to remove existing copy of game from account, how would it affect DLCs and "progression" (I mean challenges, gallery and etc.)?
