language
I'm new to EA desktop as I've just subscribe to EA play recently. Few days ago I downloaded Titanfall 2, before downloading I can choose game language. I chose Chinese as I'm a native Chinese speak...
Hi @EthanMXForever and @RK195,
I have merged your posts as they both seem to be about the Chinese translations on the EA app.
The example that @EthanMXForever is great and I will pass it on to the teams.
@EthanMXForever Is the translation only back for Titanfall 2, or are you seeing some things that don't make a lot of sense in Chinese in the EA app too? If so, could you please give me some examples of some things that need changing on the EA app? I'll make sure to pass your suggestions on.
As for changing the language for Titanfall 2, I'm afraid that the only way to change the language is to reinstall the game and selecting English when installing Titanfall 2.
For the sentence in the upper red box, I have to say that we are not used to using many attributives in Chinese. I'm not sure what it is really trying to say, but I believe that it is better to translate it into "这不会影响您进行游戏或展示游戏时间。"
The lower one seems to be a bug.
I think u are trying to say "隐私和Cookie协议", right?
Suggestions:
Change "今天的游戏时间" into "今日游戏时间"
delete the words "玩了" in the "玩了x分钟"
BTW, the translation on the homepage is terrible...
I don’t think it’s very efficient to let me take screenshots one by one, point out the mistakes and retranslate. The overall translation is... awful... It would be even better if u could provide the English to me directly...
@EthanMXForever Honestly..
I can't give you all the words and phrases in English, but you should be able to install the English version of the EA app by setting the language of Windows to English and then installing the EA app.
Either way, all the examples that you are posting here are great. It gives me something to work with and pass on to the teams, even though you haven't gone through everything.
I do have some screenshots in English for you though.
"这不会影响您进行游戏或展示游戏时间。"

I don't have PvZ: Battle for Neighborville on my Home page so I can't check what it says in English, but I do have NFS: Hot Pursuit
@EA_JasonWell, what does "the display of your current game" mean? Does it mean that users are able to play their games normally throughout the time? And about "time played", it's weird to put both together.
I think about it again. Does it mean the "status" shown on one's profile? In discord or? Like someone is currently playing "BF 2042" etc.
Why users could "delete post" in the drop-down menu of responses? I mean why this option is placed here? My instinct tells me that this should be the place to delete the reply, and the “delete post” should be placed somewhere else, like in the drop-down menu of the post, not of every single response of mine..

Don't worry about the double posts, but you can also include images in a single message by using the "insert image" feature:
@EA_Shepard More Issues with Chinese translation.
This represents "Base" or "Foundation" in Chinese, while "主页" is a more accurate translation of "Home".
Screenshot of game installation. "下一场" represents "Next Scene" in Chinese, while “继续” is a more accurate translation of "Next".
Screenshot of settings. "保密" refers to "Confidentiality" and "Secrecy" in Chinese, while "隐私" is a more accurate translation of "Privacy".
