Last update is stuck at 3%
Hey, I saw that there was an update this morning. I tried to launch it but it's stuck at 3%. I've restarted the EA app multiple times but each time I have the same problem.

my game has been stuck at 3% updating since yesterday
i have tried restarting the app, clearing my cache, repairing the app, and changing download limit.
I've also experienced all the same. When I redownloaded the EA App, it took almost an hour, then I got back to trying to download a game and it just gets stuck at 3%, like it has been. Clearly their app is broken, and it looks like it's been this way for a few months now.
did you ever manage to solve the problem? going through the EXACT same thing even with the repairing bit
I have exactly the same thing occuring to me with the same installation. I though about downloading everything again but **bleep** it's not the first time and usually all of what you said correct the thing.
Hope we get an answer for that :/
Updating I get stuck at 3%. I then tried repairing the game, and that is stuck on 51%. I've tried clearing the EA cache, deleting and re-downloading EA, and restarting my computer. Others are having the exact same problem and getting stuck on the same percentages. My game is installed on an external HD that is never removed from the computer and had no issues prior to requiring the update. What else can I do.
having the same issue ive done all the same. Even removed all the mods with no luck.
Ever since the switch from Origin to EA on Mac, I've had issues every time the Sims puts out an update. When I try to repair the game, it gets stuck at 51%. When trying the update, I never make it past 3%. I've tried clearing the EA cache, deleting and re-downloading EA, and restarting my computer. It's not my wifi either, I can't get any closer to the router and everything else is running smoothly. Help!
grzkkxy2gxw3 Please try changing the location where you're installing the game. Create a new folder on your external and choose that.
If that doesn't help, let me know what drive you have (exact model) and how it's currently formatted.
Hello, same problem here!
I tried everything puzzlezaddict said. I deinstalled the game, formatted my drive again and tried to reinstall it but now I cannot reinstall it anymore. It is stuck at 2%.
Any news if it worked for you Cerena13 ?
Cerena13 The issue might be the flash drive, either its format or its speed. How is it formatted? You can check by clicking Windows key-X and opening Disk Utility.
It might be simplest, or at least fastest, to uninstall Sims 4, format the drive, and reinstall the game. If you want to go that route, use Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) to remove Sims 4 and the EA App, as described here:
Formatting the drive will erase everything on it. If that's a problem, there are other options. If the drive is already NTFS, simply create a new folder on it into which you'll reinstall Sims 4. If the drive has a different format, let me know how much free and total space it has; you may be able to partition it and format the new partition as NTFS without losing the other data.
