Today I opened Origin on Mac to play Sims4 but it forced me to download the EA app. I downloaded and installed the EA app but when I try to open it, I immediately get "The app crashed unexpectedly. A quick restart should fix it." I don't even make it to the login screen before it crashes.
I'm on MacOS Ventura 13.6.7 using a 2017 MacBook Pro. Here is everything I've tried with no success:
- Restarting the EA app dozens of times
- Uninstalling and redownloading/reinstalling the EA app for Mac several times (from the EA website)
- Reinstalling the Origin app (just forces me to download the EA app, which automatically uninstalls Origin again)
- Deleting any EA and Origin folders/files from my Library, Documents, Applications, Downloads, Trash
- Ensuring my OS is up to date
- Ensuring the EA app has full disk access
- Ensuring my computer meets all system requirements, as far as I can tell
- Ensuring I have enough storage (575 GB available)
I have no idea what else to try. I didn't use any mods in Sims4 and I don't have antivirus software on my Mac. I've searched the help forums but haven't found any other solutions for Mac. FWIW, Sims4 worked perfectly fine on Origin yesterday, I wish I could just continue to use Origin. Instead I'm completely unable to open or play the game at all. What do I do?
Hello! Ive been having problems opening the EA app on my MacBook. It was working perfectly up until 3 weeks ago and now I keep getting the same three messages pop up I will insert pictures.
Ive tried uninstalling the app, restarting and updating my computer, clearing up storage space, but nothing works! is anyone else having this problem or have any tips on how to fix it?
