Mac EA app - "The app crashed unexpectedly" or "Background Services Crashed"

Bring back origin for Mac if you can’t make this sh app work!!! First it wouldn’t open at all and kept giving me error 201 multiple times bc apparently you have to have internet 24/7 if you want to play sims 4. Then it asked me to update the game and the update got stuck I can’t cancel it or even if I quit the app it is still stuck on downloading!!! I didn’t pay money for your crappy IT work!! Get it to work!!!!
