Membership Expired on certain games

Summarize your bug since yesterday i culdnt launch jedi fallen order anymore. i noticed something strange on the ea Desktop. first, the game wasnt listed anymore in recent played. second, in my collection tab the game was greyd out with red membership expired messege. (im a xbox gamepass member and acocunt is linked, no problems with other games) when i manualy found the game in browse tab and click on the game it shuld pop the blue play button, instead there is a download button. already tried clean cache via app recovery, restart pc, change the UAC levels, unistall EAdesktop clean registry and reinstall trough xboxgamepasss. tried to launch via xbox app. im sure im logged with the right account... and finaly trying to solve the problem, i unistalled the game and when i tried to download again now i receive a messege Unable to install There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing Game Name Unavailable. Restart your PC and try again. im preaty sure it was something u guys update in the EAdesktop app. cause it was working just fine before.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attempt to install Jedi Fallen order through EA Desktop
What happens when the bug occurs? i receive a messege Unable to install There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing Game Name Unavailable. Restart your PC and try again.
What do you expect to see? Game installation

Hi everyone,

We have fixed the issue where you receive the "Membership Expired" error message. Thank you for letting us know and for sticking with us while were fixing this bug.

I am seeing some messages from players that this has fixed for them too and I will be locking this thread.

Should you run into this issue again, then please create a new thread or post in a relevant topic.

Summarize your bug I have games pass, and EA play through it, and can't play Sims 4 anymore. There is always a message at the front saying "Membership Expired" in the "My Collections" section, but I am allowed to download it in other places (even though I have already downloaded it), when I do try to download it, it fails with a "Unable to install" message, referring to the game as "Game Name Unavailable" and tells me to restart my PC. Hi @wil4d,

Thank you for the detailed information and providing us with all the troubleshooting steps that you performed.

Can you check if you can still add other games to your collection that are included in EA Play? I noticed that your FIFA 20 gives the same error message saying that your membership expired. Did you have an EA Play subscription previously?

ok, tried with fifa 20 and had the same result as jedi fallen order..
and also tried a diferent game without the red Membership expired messege and got no error, download just started normaly.
about de previous EA subscription, i didnt have none.. this is my first one, but its within xbox gamepass.

Same exact issue down to the red lettering but for Command and Conquer. I'm also from the xbox app. I did have this game previously installed but deleted it. I am now unable to download it, it says membership expired in "My collection" tab. My membership is current, I am able to download other games through EA client, just not that one. Now since I cant have this game that's old enough to drink, I want it even more.

Summarize your bug when i try to install Need for Speed Heat i get an error saying Unable to install There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing Need for Speed™ Heat. Restart your PC and try again. i get the same error trying to install Jedi fallen order also when i got my collection Need for Speed Heat seas Membership Expired

@wil4d Did you have the same issue as @jasonisthename?

Where you had the game previously, uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall the game through EA Desktop, but giving an error message that the membership expired?

If so, could you both please try again and then share the Error Report ID? You can create this ID by clicking on the Windows logo on your keyboard > Go to EA > Click on EA Error Reporter > Fill in and submit the report > Share the Error Report ID here.
