Pack stuck on preparing in EA App for Mac

I have a Mac but Origin keeps telling me to upgrade to the EA app, even though there isnt one for mac, I havent been able to play ANY of my games when i did update, and they have been 'preparing' to download for the past TWO DAYS what do i do?? I have already tried restarting my laptop a total of SIX TIMES and tried deleting and redowning Origin and the EA app too many time's that I lost count, i am honestly at a loss on what to do.

  • Hi. I am dealing with the same exact thing. I have tried updating my Mac and deleted so much stuff off my Mac and nothing. It has only been a week for me though. But still its soooo annoying. If you have found a solution or something please let me know🙂

    but why can't your company tell users which territories or even any more information at all. 

    its been 2 months since the announcement and nothing yet. 

  • please provide download link for EA app for Mac, as origin is still not updating and the steps you provided to trigger an update through app recovery do not apply to origin.

    this is one of the worst rollouts ive ever seen in modern history.

    Why does EA have this AHQ if you all just cherry pick the issues you want to help with and ignore everything else?
  • Is the EA app available for Mac? When I go to the page, it just tells me "coming soon." I have the white screen and spinning wheel of death on the Origin app. Tried all suggestions, and nothing has worked. Thanks.

  • I've also been forced from Origin to the EA App and nothing is working. First Origin wouldn't close so I couldn't even open EA because it was saying that I was logged in already, even though Origin was automatically removed from my mac. I had to go through the Activity Monitor to close Origin. Now EA is stuck at 93% downloading Seasons and won't let me stop the download or cancel it. I've looked into videos that recommend clearing my cache, I've watched videos on how to do it and it says go onto the three lines on the top left of the screen. I don't even have three lines on my screen so I can't access the bloody menu!! So I can't even clear cache and I'm stressed and the Sims is the only thing keeping me going through Year 12. For the love of god someone please help me.

    I got the EA app, but since installing the app my base game is stuck on preparing to install an update. This has been going on for weeks and I haven't had the time to deal with it. I have tried a few of the things mentioned here and made a report through the EA app. Nothing has worked yet. Please, HELP!
