Resolved - Error 500 - "Something went wrong..." - 10 Mar. '23

Summarize your bug The app store doesn't show prices, and when I click on products, an error page '500' pops up. My friend list and my profile picture also don't load. Prior to this, I repaired the app due to incorrect currency in the store.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to browse games (or the Sims spring sale, to be more exact) and click on one of the products
What happens when the bug occurs? It says this: 500 Something went wrong... The server encountered a mysterious error. Try again in a little bit.
What do you expect to see? I expect a tab showing the game pack, the price and content.

The EA app has been acting strange for some time now, probably a few weeks.

    Hey everyone,

    It looks like reports of Error 500 messages have subsided.

    If you're still experiencing this issue, please perform an EA app App Recovery and try again.

    If you're still experiencing the issue after that, please let us know.

    I haven't been able to play for weeks. Reinstalling the app, clearing cache, etc, nothing has worked. Were you able to find a work around?

    I tried but it won't work. There is a pop up forcing me to the EA app and there's no way to dismiss it. I wish I could have Origin back!

    @Hface44  What happens when you try to play?  If you see an error message, please post a screenshot.

    Origin is no longer supported in Windows; we're all pushed to the EA App now.

    Is EA games down? trying to load battlefield and getting error 500 when i try to load. Also getting "taking alot longer"

    It looks like it's down for a lot of people - I get a 500 error every time I click on anything and their customer support is non-existent. Best of luck.

    see i don't recall this crap happening in the Origin days.... i guessi have to play board games for tonight.... ☹️

    I just hate that I can't even report the bug, it just takes me to the self help thing and then doesn't do anything but send me to their twitter.

    We are aware of these Error 500 reports that are now taking place in the EA App. The teams are investigating it.

    If we have an update available about this situation, we will share it here as soon as possible.
