Sims 2 can't add redeem code says invalid

I have the original sims 2 with the disc but don't have a disk drive on my laptop I've tried redeeming the game but it keeps saying invalid code for some reason ,can this possibly be fixed if I still...

Hey there, as you still have the game code, please contact the Help EA support team, as they might be able to assist you with that. Just scroll down to the bottom of that page, click on "Contact Us" and fill out the form. Let us know if you have any questions.
