@pyropixie89 Well, EA isn’t exactly known as a very user friendly company even being voted the WORST company like three separate times, so I’m not surprised this is happening tbh 🙄. It just sucks that you’re forced to use the app and then you can’t even access games you’ve paid for
I'm literally going through the same thing except the EP that I'm having problems with is Showtime.
Last week, EA app wouldn't launch my game saying "There was an error on our end that caused the launch to fail."
I uninstalled, reinstalled, did a factory reset, nothing worked. Then I realized that not only was the game not launching, I have 12 EP's and one of them never downloaded, it just kept "Preparing".
I got on here and was told to download origin again and try installing showtime that way.
I was skeptical because I was trying to download origin an hour before and it wouldn't work, but miraculously IT WORKED THIS TIME!
I downloaded all my games, it ran normally and this was last friday/saturday.
Fastforward to Monday, and during the day the game was running fine.
Come evening, origin forced me to install the EA app and I just knew that the honeymoon stage was over.
First the game wouldn't launch, same error message saying there's an error on their end.
So I gave up, but got an answer on a forum that the problem was fixed and to try again (like two days ago).
I downloaded EA app again, downloaded and installed the base game and it launched!
Then I go to download all my EP's and whadayaknow! Showtime STILL won't download.
EA Customer support is ZERO help because I get those same emails about troubleshooting and it's like..... HELLOOOOOO. Clearly the problem isn't my computer if it was working perfectly fine before then YOUR application forced me to switch to something that's been nothing but trouble!!!
On one very small end I'm glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue, but on the other end... the fact that each of us are experiencing this issue with respectively different EP's IS more troubling than it is comforting.
BRING BACK ORIGIN FOR PC!!!!!!!!!!!!
