Hi, I am also having the same issue as everyone else on this thread and have tried everything to get my sims 3 expansions to work. Buying the ea play membership was the only way I could get the expansions to download. It's super messed up that I have to pay to be able to play games I've already purchased. So excited for Life By You to come out so I can stop dealing with dumb issues like this.
Buy the EA play. They're running a promotion until the 17th for 99 cents. My final expansion downloaded with no issues as soon as the transaction went through. I canceled as soon as the game downloaded fully.
This was the only thing that worked for me, purchasing the EA Play membership. EA needs to seriously look into this issue if the only solution is to get the EA Play membership before a previously owned game can be download.
