I really thought I was the last person in the universe still playing this game..
Has anyone got a fix for this yet?
I have cleared the cache uninstalled the app uninstalled sims 3 and done a clean boot on my PC nothing has worked. I have been in contact with EA multiple times, and they all say the same thing 'we are aware of the issue, and we are trying our best to sort it' they have declined a refund and not told me when it's going to be up and running again. it doesn't help that each expansion packs costs almost 30!
as you can see on the screenshot it says I have the packs downloaded which I do not. it also says installing on the rest of the packs but it's not installing
please help!
Still no expansion packs. Got the other stuff in the download manager in sims.
I have the exact problem, too. I hope they fix it soon, because I paid money for new packs and all I have from it is that I tried uninstalling all my packs and now I have no packs!
I can't download expansions and stuff packs for the Sims 3. I was able to the first week in October when I was still within a window to return a computer I had purchased-specifically to play the Sims 3. At the time, I only loaded the base game and several expansions and stuff packs. Everything seemed to work well and so I was pleased my new computer and decided I would keep it.
Now, two weeks later, I discover I can't download and install my remaining stuff because the EA App does not work. I've been trying for the last two days, uninstalling , reinstalling, clearing cache-etc. really frustrating. Also, returning to Origin does nothing for getting the expansions and stuff packs because they are no longer present when I click on the Sims 3 icon , that is these things are no longer listed in the drop down box, at least for me. By the way, I have a Dell XPS 17 9710 laptop with a 4k screen which I scale lower at full screen so I can read the menu script in game. Even so, with a lower screen resolution (at a 16:10 ratio) the game looks beautiful and so "new" to me. I'm mentioning the laptop in case someone is thinking about a new computer while we are all here discussing the fact we can't even get our content to load. EA pleeeze.....it's getting cold here, smacking me with free Sims 4, when all I want to do is play my Sims 3 games
before ever, ever, thinking about investing in the sims 4.
I was also told they weren't aware of an issue and that it should be able to download but it isn't. I also am missing the Sims 2 and they want order numbers from all games before they can help further. I don't have the order numbers for games purchased years ago.
