Sims 4 Base Game Missing, Macbook Air

Hi guys,

I've been having so many issues with my Sims 4 game lately. It was fine when I installed it to my hard drive, then I started downloading mods and it was still fine. After the update it said some of the mods had been corrupted. Then whenever I tried to play it kept saying sims 4 already running. I managed to fix it but since then I keep getting a message that the base game is missing. 

I've tried repairing it multiple times, clearing the cache, uninstalling, reinstalling, reseting my hard drive, uninstalling and reinstalling EA. Nothing is working and I'm desperate for any help possible!!!

    Hi there, 

    As you're getting a message saying the base game is missing, this could be an account-related issue and I suggest that you contact EA Help Support so they can check if everything is ok with your account.

    I've sent them an error report and cannot find a way to start a chat with them unfortunately ☹️ 

    I even just deleted all data I could find on my mac with the sims 4 and just spent 2 hours redownloading the Base Game only to have the same error message pop up again.

    I'm sorry to hear you're having issues contacting EA Help Support. 

    If you're not getting the chat option when trying to contact support, can you please try: 

    1. Go to: https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/
    2. Select the game you need assistance with or EA App
    3. Select "I want to update my EA Account information" 
    4. Scroll down the page to find the "Chat with us" option

    If the chat doesn't show up, please try doing that while logged out. Once selecting the chat option it will ask you to log in, but you can select the option to continue without logging in.

    Hi, did you ever get his figured out? I just installed my game into an external hard drive as well and it won't let me download any of my DLC's and it gives me the same error message that you linked above. I also have a MacBook Air.
