Sims 4 DLC from Steam or Epic Greyed Out on EA app for Mac (Worked on Origin)

However, according to EA’s official policy on Dual Entitlement, all owned content registered on an EA Account should unlock both PC and Mac versions on the EA App for Mac, regardless of where the redemption originated.

In fact, there is clear proof of this on my account: out of the three packs in this Epic bundle, Fashion Street Kit is already fully installed and playable inside my game on Mac, even though the EA App client lists it alongside the others as "Windows Only". This proves the Mac entitlement exists for these Epic licenses, but there is a display/sync glitch on the EA App for the remaining two packs (Jungle Adventure and Luxury Party).

Since Epic Games does not host Mac files, the entitlement is linked directly to my EA Account. Could you please check my account backend or escalate this to verify why the macOS download flag wasn't pushed for Jungle Adventure and Luxury Party (Order ID: F2305161542315083)?

This might not be the response you were hoping for, but if you redeemed those packs through Epic, I'm afraid they won't be available on Mac, as the version offered on Epic is only compatible with Windows. Dual entitlement does not apply to Epic or Steam-based content, unfortunately.

I'm having an issue on Mac with The Sims 4: The Daring Lifestyle Bundle (Jungle Adventure, Luxury Party, Fashion Street Kit) redeemed via Epic Games Store. Accounts are fully linked.

On the EA App for Mac, all three packs show up as "Available only on Windows" and I can't download them.

Since TS4 uses Dual-Entitlement, owning the DLCs on my EA account should let me download the Mac versions too. Epic doesn't host Mac files, so EA App needs to push the Mac entitlement.

Live chat couldn't help with the backend sync. Can a Community Manager please check my account and trigger a manual entitlement refresh for macOS?

As you've mentioned, the general solution is to unlink your Steam and EA accounts, purchase the untransferable packs through the EA App, and then relink them. If you're uncomfortable with that process, I'm afraid there currently isn't an alternative to make those packs available for purchase again, which I understand isn't ideal. 

I've merged your post with the current main thread for this topic. It may be worth taking a look to see if anything else has figured out another route that doesn't include unlinking accounts.

Just to confirm, were you able to try using this web form? Once you submit that and are redirected to the self-service page, there should be an option to chat with us. If you're not seeing that, you may need to try selecting a different topic as your issue.

I recently switched from Windows to Mac and am trying to access The Sims 4 DLC I originally purchased through Steam.

I fully understand that Steam purchases aren't transferable to the Mac version of The Sims 4, and I'm willing to repurchase the packs directly through EA.

However, I'm stuck in a situation where:

• EA's website says I already own the packs for PC and Mac.
• The EA App on my Mac lists the packs as "Owned" under Manage Add-ons, but provides no Download button.
• When I try to purchase the packs directly from EA, checkout is blocked with the message "You already own this."

I've already contacted EA Support multiple times without a resolution. I was advised to try the website and unlink my Steam account, but I'm not comfortable unlinking because of the potential impact on my existing purchases. I was then told to contact Steam Support for a refund but my case does not meet their refund requirements. 

Has anyone encountered this exact issue and found a resolution??

I'd really appreciate any advice from the community or an EA community manager. Thank you so much!!

No. You purchased the DLC through the Steam storefront for Windows only. There is no macOS version of the game available on Steam.

No, you will have to buy them either through EA App or purchase codes through a reputable seller and redeem in EA App.

Hello everyone,

I’m hoping an EA Community Manager or someone familiar with Steam and EA licensing can help me.

Over the past several years, I purchased multiple The Sims 4 expansion packs and other DLC through Steam while playing on Windows.

I recently switched to a MacBook Air M4 (2025). I installed The Sims 4 through the EA app for Mac, but my previously purchased Steam DLCs are not available.

Yesterday, I contacted both Steam Support and EA Support. Neither was able to resolve the issue. After contacting EA, the EA app started showing Buy buttons for my previously purchased DLCs.

My EA support case was closed with the status “No Fix Available”. When I tried reopening it, I received a message saying that this issue isn’t supported by EA Advisors.

I have already spent a significant amount of money on these DLCs over several years, and I really don’t want to purchase everything again.

Could an EA representative please clarify:

1. Can DLCs purchased through Steam for Windows be accessed through the EA app on Mac?
2. Is there any official way to transfer or recognize my existing purchases?
3. If this is not possible, is there any alternative that would allow me to use my purchased content without buying it again?

I would prefer not to install third-party software or Windows compatibility tools on my Mac.

I would really appreciate a clear explanation or assistance from the appropriate EA team.
