Hi, I recently switched from Windows to a Mac. I have already linked my Steam account to my EA account. However, on my Mac EA app, all my purchased Steam DLCs say 'Available on Windows' and I cannot download them. Can a Community Manager please help grant the Mac entitlements to my account? Thank you

Hi Guys, I just switched to Mac from Windows and I cant access any of my previously downloaded DLC from Steam.
I was bummed to find out Steam doesnt support the Sims on Mac, and the EA app has acknowledged all of my DLC packs, saying that I own them, but it still says they aren't compatible on my computer. Can i appeal for either my money back or access to these packs/expansions?
Thanks
Packs purchased through Steam for Windows are not available for macOS as TS4 is not available for Mac through Steam. You will need to re-purchase all DLC again through EA App or a reputable seller.

Hi everyone,
I’m posting here regarding an issue with my DLC access in The Sims 4.
I have purchased multiple expansion packs and additional content through Steam on Windows. My Steam account is properly linked with my EA App account, and synchronization between the accounts is active.
On my MacBook, all DLC appear as owned both in the EA App and in-game. The content is visible, including the worlds, but everything is greyed out and labeled as “Available on Windows,” which prevents access and use.
When I go to marketplace in the game , then my packs , I am able only to install the kits, the packages and etc. are staying in gray and are not to be clickt..
I have already gone through all standard steps such as reinstalling the game, repairing it, clearing cache files, and reconnecting my accounts. The behavior remains unchanged.
At this point, I’m looking for clarification or guidance from anyone who has experienced a similar situation or has insight into how this can be resolved.
Thanks in advance. - potionspell3 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
hey ik this is late, but did you ever find a fix for this, i have the exact issue going on with my game with the same packs, funny enough. Do I have to buy these packs AGAIN? for the second time? I really dont want to, though.

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with two Sims 4 packs, Jungle Adventure and Luxury Party Stuff.
I will also include screenshots of what it shows as well.
Both packs show as owned in the game under my collection tab, but I can’t install them through the EA app or the in-game installer. They don’t show up as available to download, even though they are in my library.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4
- Restarted the EA app
- Used the EA app recovery option
- And talk to an EA app representative about the issue, and they claim that it seems to be a bug and will report it to the bug team.
The problem is still there, and the packs won’t install.
Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix?
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, if you bought Sims 4 packs through Steam, that version is Windows only. Anything you purchased through the EA App can be Windows or Mac, but not through Steam.
If you already bought a lot of packs, you may want to look into using Bootcamp to install Windows on your Mac, if you don’t have a Windows machine available anymore. Otherwise you’d need to repurchase through the EA App.
If you’re just trying to install the base game, try disconnecting Steam from your EA account to make it available again in the EA app.

Recently switched from Windows playing The Sims via steam to Mac. When I download and log into the EA app, it does not give an option to download The Sims 4 for macOS, only shows unavailable content (The Sims4 for windows).
