Steam controller support

Previously (up until the February 2024) steam was able to trasnlate the input from my DS5 controller to the Xbox glyphs to use the controller in-game. It worked great for Fallen Order, Mass Effect and Jedi Survivor. Then another wonderful update came for EA app (that is somehow even worse than origin) that broke all that. Now Jedi Survivor only works with controller via the wire and Mass Effect does not work with a controller at all because of this low-quality EA app.
Big picture in steam? Nope, it outright says that EA app does not support the controller input and that's that.
Adding garbage EA app as a non-steam game? Doesn't work
Removing all USB devices? Great and convinient workaround (no it isn't and it doesn't work) for the incompetence of EA dev team.
Anyone got actual options to fix this? I know EA devs have an option - which is to do their job for a change and fix the issue to the point as it was no more than 2 months ago.

    It is both funny and sad that it would be a lot easier and pleasant to pirate the game and add it to Steam as a non-steam library and it would work with the controller just fine because it would be just Steam doing the translation of the input without ea app that, by the way, now bricks the Steam in-game overlay.

    Whoever sees this - know that it was not EA agent's support who helped fixed this issue. Know that is not the ea's engineers work (LOL) that resolved this issue, that people had ever since origin on a random basis. It was a group of enthusiasts that made DS4Windows, I just followed the instructions on installation ME LE is again working with my controller.

    @EA_Leeuw It would work just fine if you hadn't managed to f*** it up with the EA app, which is implemented so clumsily that it manages to get in the way of Steam big picture mode.
