The Sims 4 Standard Edition instead of Digital Deluxe Edition on EA App.

The EA app shows that I own The Sims 4 Standard Edition while I have The Sims 4 Deluxe Edition. I purchased The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe Edition on release. Origin shows the correct version of this game, but the EA app has the wrong version, i.e. the Sims 4 Standard Edition.
I didn't buy add-on, i.e. The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe Upgrade. I have The Sims 4 Life of the Party, Up All Night, and Awesome Animal Hats from Digital Content on both apps.
I would like the new app to show the correct version of my game.

@Krogan_PaulN7Thank you for your suggestion. I contacted EA Live Chat Support. I now have the correct version of the game in the EA app. After reinstalling the game I have the standard version again. Additionally, I lost The Sims 4 Cottage Living: Limited Time Purchase Bonus Content (Gnome on the Go Bonus Content).

@Krogan_PaulN7 I can confirm that explaining the situation to a live support specialist worked. I had to explain that the situation had nothing to do with corrupt cache (I had done the app recovery and other things to confirm it). If they can see in their system that you actually own the better edition, they will make EA App show it.

Good to hear it has helped and that you got an advisor that understood.

    Product: The EA app
    Platform:PC
Error Report ID (learn how to create an Error Report ID in the sticky post)
Which client functionality are you experiencing this bug with? Game Hub
    When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 20.07.21 20:54
Summarize your bug EA app changes the current edition of The Sims 4 to the Standard Edition after purchasing DLC for the game through the EA app.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Own an edition of The Sims 4 other than the Standard one (I own The Sims 4 Premium Edition). Buy a pack for The Sims 4 through the EA app.
What happens when the bug occurs? EA app stops showing your edition of The Sims 4 and instead displays the Standard Edition in EA app.
What do you expect to see? I expect the EA app to show the edition of The Sims 4 that I actually own.

I did a lot of investigation and also talked to multiple EA advisors, so the issue is as follows: EA App changes The Sims 4 edition to Standard upon pack purchase (in my case, I own the Premium Edition).

Why does this happen? Apparently, approximately around the time The Sims 4 became free-to-play, buying a new piece of DLC for The Sims 4 started making the EA system add another Standard Edition of The Sims 4 to Order History. You can see it clearly in this screenshot:

Thus, the newly added Standard Edition of The Sims 4 starts to override whatever edition you currently own.

How did I get the issue fixed? I needed to talk to dozens of EA advisors until some of the understood the issue and made EA app show the correct edition of the game.

Why doesn't everyone have the same issue? The issue only occurs when purchasing DLC through the EA app. If a person gets a pack code from a retail store and redeems it in the app, another Standard Edition of The Sims 4 will not be added to Order History, therefore the overriding doesn't happen. Also, the members of EA Creator Network don't face this issue as EA add newly released packs to their accounts automatically.

How might EA fix the problem for good? Buying DLC for The Sims 4 should stop making EA system add another Standard Edition of The Sims 4 to Order History. The only thing that should be added there is the pack that was purchased.

I hope this was helpful for those who have faced this issue and also for the EA staff members, so that the issue gets looked into and fixed sooner than later.

If it's possible, I'd like to kindly ask the moderators to merge the following posts with the one I created:
    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/The-Sims-4-Collector-s-Edition-OVERLAPPED-by-The-Sims-4-Standard/m-p/12369539#M20945
    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/The-Sims-4-Standard-Edition-instead-of-Digital-Deluxe-Edition-on/m-p/12020015#M10231

Why am I asking this? The reason is simple: I'd been doing research on this topic for a long time and I finally found which actions exactly caused the issue to occur, which I stated in this thread, and if those posts get moved here, EA staff members might find it easier to track the issue.

The merging doesn't have to happen if the moderators feel like it's not something that should be done, but I'd greatly appreciate it for the sake of getting the issue fixed as soon as possible.
