This worked for me, thank you! Still ridiculous that I have to manually exit from task manager every time my computer starts up but at least now there's a temporary fix.
- @jasonsno Thank you!!
They still have not fixed it, just happened to me. Had to manually run the EAUpdate for EA App to launch and connect properly.
If they can not fix something as simple as this, its no wonder Apex Legends game is such a mess on every launch with basic functionality not even working (like spawn points....)- zhngwawa3 years agoNew Novice
Thank you so much, nothing better even after recovering EA app and restarting the app, but when I restarted my computer, everthing worked !! Wow !! Thank you !! ^^

Absolutly NO fix. YOU must restart your PC in order to work. Most patetic EA management, huge insult to the people that pay you. Error is for 2 years already, still no FIX. Not to mention the rest of it.
I have tried it all, and hundred other stuffs EA customer experience asked me to do, but still no solution ! I am facing these problems
1. every time i launch the EA app, and go to library, the game wont load, I bought FIFA 23 recently, and i had fifa 22 too, but none of them appears and i get the message "things are taking little longer than usual, hold tight when we try to solve the problem"
2. and once in a while (maybe once in hundred times) even when i see the game in my library and start downloading, it gets stuck in the "preparing" phase for hours! and then when i cancel the download or exit the app to restart download then again i cant find the games anymore! Its so frustrating, can anyone help me please ?!- lolnyny2 years agoSeasoned Novice
Force quitting "EA background services" in task manager (ctrl+alt+del) fixes it for me, but it's getting annoying having to do this every time I want to open a game.

Nothing I did worked. Not end task, not app recovery, not offline mode, not reinstalling, not EAUpdater, nothing. I'm still having this issue. The game (Sims 4) don't even list under the "Installed Games" in the EA App as it says "managed by steam" but when I try to launch in steam I get this error. Library refuses to load. Because of that I can't even try the download APEX method.
Really though, after reading hundreds of pages I'm not optimistic about this getting fixed.
what i did to fix this is going to task manger and terminating ea backgroung service and luanching again
For most of us, ending the task in the task manager is NOT a solution. There is no persistent EA-related task after closing the EA App.
This is an issue that lies elsewhere -- some kind of networking glitch with the APP would be my guess.
"What we have here ... is failure ... to communicate."
That line ought to be EA's corporate motto.
