Unable to Change EA app Interface (UI) Language on Handheld

I have tried reinstlling the EA App several times. My EA Profile has the correct country (Switzerland) and the language set to German.

When I login to the EA App on Windows, the App is in English and in the settings the dropdown List shows me nothing else than English. This means that I cannot not choose any other language than English for my games like FC 25 during the installation. There is a dropdown list but English is the only option. Please help!

PS. My windows is set to German, my keyboard is German, my browser is set to German language... just everything is German and all the other apps like Steam etc work perfectly fine in German. Just the EA App makes everything ridiculously complicated

    Hey folks, quick update on this. It looks like the issue is caused by the small screen size and the device’s OS scaling not working well with the app. We’ve passed the feedback to the teams, but unfortunately, there’s not much we can do on our (or your) end right now.

  • Hello, I have this weird bug in EA App on RoG Ally. It uses Windows 11 as a normal PC. 

    I can't change language of the app or of single games. There is only English.

    On my desktop, same version of EA App, and I haven't this problem. What could it be?

    I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

    It's latest version of the app, with fully updated Windows on both devices.

  • Ok, just discovered that this is a bug relative to touch screen drivers of handhelds.

    The temporary fix is to just disable touch screen drivers, change EA App language, then enable drivers again.

    Bingo! I had the same problem on Asus Rog Ally with touchscreen, even with external monitor. I followed Your advice and it finally worked. Thank you! It is a bug in EA app.

    You have to disable touch screen drivers of the handheld.

    As google says: "To disable the touchscreen on a handheld PC, you can use the Device Manager in Windows. Navigate to Human Interface Devices, find the HID-compliant touch screen, right-click, and select "Disable device". A verification popup may appear, requiring confirmation to proceed. "

    Change language of EA app or of the games, and enable the device again.

    I'm using ROG Flow x13
    I tried "Disable device" only for the HID-compliant touch screen because of the same problem, but it didn't work out
    "HID-compliant touch" screen and "HID-compliant pen" should be "Disable Device" to resolve this issue temporarily
