@EA_Jason Could this be escalated, that this game is somehow region locked while it shouldn't be?

I had a feeling that was the case @Koala0nFire, that's why I asked for the region.
If anyone here encounters the same issue, then please share your location first before trying @Koala0nFire's solution. It gives me an idea in which regions ME:LE isn't available via EA Play or the EA app.

@Koala0nFire how did you change the region on EA Desktop?

I described it in my post - Settings > Application > Region.

In my case, changing the region reverted to me being unable to download any game, that wasn't already in my collection.
So I did what I was doing earlier:
1. Reinstalling EA Desktop
2. Killing EA BackgroundServices in the task manager
3. Setting EA BAckground Services from automatic to manual in the Windows Services
4. Rebooting My PC
5. Launching EA Desktop without launching the Xbox app.
6. Then Changing the region to UK.
7. Actually being able to download ME: Legendary edition.
I'm unsure if any of the steps were unimportant, but it did work this way. Again - thank you! - 4 years ago
I know something is wrong and that's why I asked
I don't have that region option in the settings (see below picture)

I do not have the option to select the region :/

Please create a new topic about being unable to switch regions as this one is specifically about ME:LE missing for some players.

@EA_Jason I may have not explained it well.
I'm suffering from the same issue as the others here, where I'm unable to download Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. It is the only game that I'm unable to download. I've tried all the solutions mentioned on the thread and none of them worked.
I asked about the region change only because one of the other members mentioned that by changing the location they were able to download the game, but that's not the main issue here.
Hope this explains it and let me know if you need any additional information from my side.

I fully understand @SirLockeLamora. I have sent up the examples of players being unable to download and install Mass Effect to the right teams to be investigated.
The changing of regions is just a workaround that other players are using. If that function isn't available to you, then I'd have to ask you to create a new thread for it.
Ideally I would only have 1 bug/issue posted per topic. Otherwise things get a little too disorganized on these forums.

Hello @EA_Jason ,
I've been doing some tracing from my end, and I think the following would interest your support team. I have used Fiddler to trace all the background calls to your services when I try to download the game, and I can clearly see a Graph API error.
If I start the download from the Xbox app or the EA Beta app, the download gets stuck at the red refresh circle and it never starts to actually download. Looking at Fiddler I see the following error:
From the image above, I do see the reply coming from the EA servers with the message "INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR". I don't know what 409 and Vault Entitlement Grant means to EA, but I'm sure they mean something to your support team.
I can more logs if you have a secure way for me to upload them to you and if it helps your team debug this case 🙂

I found a solution that worked for me . First I downloaded a VPN (I recommend proton it's free) then I changed my connection to the Netherlands and started the download. When the download started I turned off the VPN and downloaded it on my internet without the VPN. If the Netherlands doesn't work for you try connecting to another country and hope it'll work>

Summarize your bug I don't know what drug you guys make your devs take before starting their shifts, but since I'm editing a reply to a thread, I should NOT HAVE TO FILL OUT THIS FORM. But since it's mandatory... Well, I'll oblige. Your platform sucks and people can't download a game they are entitled to being able to without having to go through nonsensical workarounds.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea: a handful of people from different regions are affected consistently with no apparent common reason.
What happens when the bug occurs? You can't download, specifically, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and you get pissed.
What do you expect to see? Captain Shepard.
This method unfortunately doesn't work anymore for changing your app's region, it seems.
However, if you reached Step 6 and still can't change your region, try this:
6.
Then Changing the region to UK.Don't close the EA app or do anything rash. Open Xbox app.7. Search for Mass Effect™: Legendary Edition Click the colored "INSTALL" button so that the Xbox app summons the already open EA app like an elder brother telling the younger one to stop being stupid.
8. If your god(s) (if any) were merciful on you, you just might be downloading ME: LE right now, for reasons.
It worked here, at least, for whatever reason. Game Pass Ultimate, Brazil. ME:LE was also the only game for which download failed.
Good 'ole EA with its astonishing customer service.
EDIT: And the forums are also stupid, it seems: if you reply to a specific message, the interface doesn't either quote or link the replied-to message anyhow: only I know (and can look into here in the Edit menu) who and what I replied to. Which means everyone who reads this message of mine will be lacking context and thinking I'm insane! Neat!

I just purchased ME:LE and I am having this issue! It's been a year since this thread and I am still having this issue? This Really needs to be sorted out! Especially when it's a game this expensive. I guess I'll try the Origin app and use that until it's shut down because it seem to be where I go whenever I have an issue with the EA app and it usually works.

Same here. Windows 11 and new pc. This game only work with Origin and not downloading with EA app. im in italy so i dont think i have region restriction either and first i tryed all the workarounds i could find on web but doesnt work.

I can no longer use Origin so I hope this issue and others are dealt with or will be soon..
