Not just EAplay's games, the game i bought have the same problem.
UAC, ADMINS, change language, clean cache, blablablabla. DEPRESSED FAIL.
- 4 years ago@FoundYourselves Just download any free game on EA dekstop app (like apex legends), then cancel download and try installing other games. It fixed my problem! Hope it helps.
Found this on another forum and it works. Hopefully EA will fix there stuff though.

I had the same issue with Fifa 21, tried everything that was suggested by support, then I finally stumbled upon a forum where someone said that using a VPN was suggested to him and he had not tried it. So with little expectation I connected to a US VPN and voila! it worked, and just a FYI, once the download has started you can disconnect the VPN and it will continue to download. Hope this works for you too.

Finally, i find my solution:
Change install folder to your harddisk's main partition , problem solved.
My PC has 2 harddisk, separate C D E F G H.
C G H are main partition,D E F are logic partition.
When install folder set to DEF, 100% install fail.
If you don't konw which is main partition, try install in C, see if it would work.
Hope EA can fix it !

I have the same issue too.. may be worse
I had installed It Takes Two via XBOX app (I have XBOX Gamepass Ultimate subscription by the way and for EA Games, it must be installed through EA launcher)
Several weeks ago I could play the game without any problem, I haven't played the game for a while until tonight I wanted to play the game again, but ALAS! The game that I had installed didn't show up on either XBOX app or EA Launcher installed game list, but when I browsed for the game in the folder, the game was there.
Both XBOX app and EA Launcher tell me to install the game. Then I tried to install the game, and VIOLA!! I get the same notice.
I can't installed the game! I thought that it was because I actually had installed the game and the app clashed with it, but it turned out that it is not the problem! have tried to uninstall both the game and EA Launcher then I redownloaded EA launcher and tried to install the game again but the problem still exists. This dang EA launcher still gives me this dang notice!
I can't install the game to the other partitions because they running out of space... sad

Hello! My issue was fixed during a live support chat. They asked me to try downloading a free to play game. Just download any free game on EA dekstop app (like apex legends), then cancel download and try installing other games. It fixed my problem! Hope it helps.
Found this on another forum and it works. Hopefully EA will fix there stuff though.- 4 years ago
Sorry for not seeing your reply first. And thank youu soo muuch! Your method worked well! At first, I still had the issue then I restarted my PC and now the issue is gone! Thanks a lot man.. now I want to try if I can inject my It Takes Two game files into the installation folder as I have backed up my game files before I uninstalled it

My issue was exactly like what you described and I have been trying to find a way to fix it for litterally days. The fix has actually been mentioned here but didn't work until just now.
Here is my exact steps
Open the Xbox App, search for the game you have installed and click install, when it launches the EA app and asks you to download it, click cancel. In the EA app search Apex and start the install of Apex Legends. It will start to download. Give it a few moments and boom your missing games will reappear in your collection and you'll be able to play them.
Hopefully this works for you too?
