Hey there,
This message can pop up if you have more than one graphics card and the game is trying to use the wrong one. To make sure it uses your main dedicated graphics card, please set up a gaming profile as explained in this article: Troubleshooting graphics on PC.
Let us know if you have any questions.
fabonanna Please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
EA_cuervo That's not typically what happens. GPUs that are actually unsupported are almost entirely low-end chips that are never paired with a dedicated card, or very old GPUs (older than Sims 4) where anything paired with them would be similarly old. It can also be due to a missing or corrupt graphics driver, of course.
This particular error should never happen with an even somewhat new graphics chip.
