Update not working

Product: EA Desktop
Platform:PC

Which client functionality are you experiencing this bug with? Download Game
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 18.11.21 1.00 am
Summarize your bug Update required but it isn't allowing me to update game. I click on update and nothing happens.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to update a game
What happens when the bug occurs? The game wont update or even appear in the downloads. literally nothing happens when I click update
What do you expect to see? The downloads manager should update the game

    Hi @suddenurge2kill,

    Have you tried clearing the cache of the EA app?

    You can do this in the EA app itself by going to Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache. 

    Please let me know if it works, if not, then please try temporarily disabling your VPN/Firewall/Anti-Virus/Proxy and running the EA app as an administrator.

    I did the clear cache thing and it just changed from doing nothing to "preparing. calculating time"  and stuck there forever

    @EA_Jason turns out it was all my ethernet speed. I sincerely apologize for the trouble, please forgive me. My BF 2042 its updating now. thank you for your time

    Thank you so much! I tried updating over and over again because it kept updating then still needing the update. This fixed it!
