win32 is preventing installation of ea app

hello, all!

i recently got a brand new pc (brand new as in i bought it today) to play sims 4. i did my research, it has the required specs like 8gb ram, 64-bit operating system, etc. I downloaded the EA App installer and it made it all the way to "Installing the EA app..." and about 90% percent of the way through that process, it came up with an error and my system said it wasn't a valid win32 application or something like that. Any advice on how I'm meant to fix this or if I can at all?

  • Hello! I am having the same issue pop up on my end. The full Error message I received was msi35ie.tmp is not a valid win 32 application.

  • hey all,

    I have the same Problem.

What I noticed is that the RAM fills up during the installation. I have 32GB and even those aren't enough...

I tried the installation a few more times and now (for whatever reason) it works 🥳

  • Hi, i hope the image uploads properly but I'm having the exact same issue and I'm pretty sure this is what the poster is referencing with the popup. I have not been able to fix this issue either, I just recently bought a new PC and its completely updated, drivers and everything so I'm quite confused. PS. the letters and numbers before the .tmp are usually random

Hello, I would like to update. I don't know how or why but after my computer did an automatic update last night I have finally been able to install the EA App without any issues. So if anyones still having this issue please try to just update your PC or be patient and wait for an Automatic one to happen. If that still doesn't end up working then I'm sorry I have no other tips ❤️
