Hello everyone!
On Windows 7, since the last EA app update, I had been having this problem where the app wouldn't lauch and an empty box with a red X pops up.
After trying to follow thousands os instructions from different forums, I found something that solved the problem for me! I'm sharing it, hoping it will help you guys too.
I found this website here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/troubleshoot-ea-app-and-directx/ , and that's when I figured it out.
At first I couldn't update it 'cause my Windows Update had the Error 80072efe, so I followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fceYiVzaIvA . It's in Portuguese but, basically, all you gotta do is:
If it doesn't solve the problem to you, install DirectX End-User Runtime suggested at the first link.
EA App is running normally again after I followed these steps, I hope it can help you too!
