WTH is up with this update?

So I go to library, it launches, wait... it's not.  "Start the EA app..."  OK, do it again, app starts again, but this time in a different browser?  Who said to do that?  So I select from library and get the "Start the EA app" over and over.  My Only option is to play 2042?  I don't even have 2042.  Who bug checked this update?
