Your game failed to launch. An error on our end caused your launch to fail.

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Since 24.03.2021
Summarize your bug Whenever I try to launch Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order(Through EA Play with Game Pass PC), I get the following message: "Your game failed to launch" "An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to launch a game, I guess.
What happens when the bug occurs? The previously mentioned message pops up.
What do you expect to see? A functioning client that lives up to the standards of at least the early 2000s. Oh, and the game actually launching.

Everything described above, I tried the following solutions, with no success:

  • PC Restart
  • Client restart
  • Launch through .exe
  • Launch through Xbox App
  • Launch through EA Desktop Alpha (cuz' this stuff ain't even close to a Beta)
  • Game Reinstall
  • EA Desktop Reinstall
  • Compatibility modes for both the game and EA Desktop

  • Here's the solution of what worked for me, you just got to downgrade the EA Desktop Client.

    1) Go to the EA Desktop client folder, normally "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop"

    2) You should have two folders there, one named "EA Desktop" and another named "outdatedEADesktop".

    3) Delete the "EA Desktop" folder and renamed "outdatedEADesktop" to "EA Desktop" (MAKE SURE THE SPACE IS THERE AS WELL)

    4) After that, just relaunch and it should work

    I've been on this for a couple days and tried almost everything. I hope this gives people relief.

  • @twistdd I tried, but unfortunately it doesn't work, still the same issue. I even did a full uninstall of the app(every little folder for EA Desktop deleted) and then reinstalled, but same error. Interestingly, SW Squadrons works and always worked fine.
  • I'm Sorry but i'm not getting paid to produce you reports each time something goes wrong from your end. But I did pay 129$ for a year subscription to have access to your library and content.. This being said here's a screen shot off the problem. its been going on for a week now..

     - The Game is STAR WARS JEDI KNNIGHT2 -= JEDI OUTCASET

    Problem the game wont launch with the desktop app beta ( please see provided  attachment, you will find a screen shot of what is happening.

    - DATE IS 2021-05-31  - I downloaded the game a few days back maybe a week.
