We are also having the same issue. My son and I have been able to play together up until this last patch. I opened a case with support and this is what they said in the support chat:
"I just have consulted with my team and I would like to inform you that we are receiving several cases about the same issue where people are reporting this issue to team for the investigation. I would request you to please wait for some time the issue will be fixed as soon as possible.
ST
I would be glad to provide you a timeframe but as the team is different and we haven't received any updates yet. I am unable to give you any time frame. But no need to worry the issue will be fixed as soon as possible."
