Cannot change email after changing ID?

I was promopted by an error bewlow, when trying to change my binded email

"We can't complete your request, your email address may be invalid, or you have recently updated your address"

I didn't change my emial within past 30 days, but I did just change my ID. 

Is this the cause of the error?
