Cannot link account to Xbox

I'm having a weird issue with all EA games.

I have been trying to login to play the Battlefield 6 beta. When the game loads, I am immediately met with a notification stating that I must reset my password due to my credentials being expired. I reset my password, restart the game, and I am still met with the same message. It doesnt even allow me to access the menu of the game or give me an option to login. When I try to link my EA account to my Xbox account, I am met with a message stating "Your accounts can't be linked because your Xbox account CakeLoaf already linked to your EA account for 49*****@disabled.ea.com. An EA account can only be linked to one Xbox account in its lifetime".

I have never linked my Xbox account. I am able to login on PC and mobile but not on Xbox so I am unable to play any EA games. I have reached out to support and after waiting 3 hours, I got a message stating "do you still need help? Visit our FAQ page" and then they closed my case. I just want to login and play. I have had this account since 2009. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have checked my "bans and appeals" and my history is absolutely clean. No bans or anything.

  • Hi MaroonMilk,

A @disabled.ea.com email address appearing usually means that the EA Account has become dormant due to inactivity.

If you open a case at help.ea.com, the support agents there should be able to assist you with reactivating the account.

Thats the thing, I use the account still. My girlfriend has been using my EA account on her PC for nearly a 2 years now to play Sims 4. I just dont understand how I can log on to my EA account on both mobile and PC and not have an issue but on console, I do. I have reached out to support and they closed my case every time without saying anything at all.

I have the same issue and haven't been able to speak to anyone about this issue. I tried the Contact Us page and submitted the issue but haven't heard back for multiple days. This was before the pop up warning about longer wait times. Only the PS5 link is messed up. I keep seeing people resolve this issue on the old website but the current one seems to have removed the chat feature which is how most people previously resolved this issue. How do I actually get in touch with EA to get access to PS5 online multiplayer?

Yeah I've been having the same issue as well on my playstation 5 and have already opened a case with EA and still haven't heard back from anyone yet. I tried contacting someone in the chat but after waiting for about 3 hours I gave up. I would actually like to play the new battlefield.

  • Same issue here. PlayStation account linked to disabled EA account. Made support cases but the support chat doesn't work.
