Does anyone know how to get ahold of higher management at EA help?

I'm seriously at a loss. Now about 2 months ago at this point; I foolishly bought 2 sims expansion packs. Despite my EA app bugging out. I ended up being double charged. I had chosen PayPal pay in 4. But got charged for both pay in 4 and the total for the games. I disputed this with EA and paypal. But EA never responded.

When I did get a response, the agent kept acting like they didn't understand what i meant. All the way until paypal gave me a refund for the 2nd charge. Then suddenly I got an email from EA accusing me of a charge back, warning me my account was going to be watched, etc. I'd never seen the like. So I reached out, I appealed, gave them screenshots of my charges. But they claimed that it doesn't count because they didn't charge me twice on their end I just got charged twice anyway. And they took my games. And my account still gets watched.

No attempts to communicate. Just weeks and hours of effort on my end. And explaining things to agents who don't know what's happening, because what I said before isn't being kept track of. My only options are reopening the same chat and keeping to appeal this status. Meanwhile no games. It's crazy to treat someone who literally paid, and just didn't want to pay double, like this. Especially given how much I've paid this company over the years.

Does anyone have advice?

Hey LBonne24 have you spoken with PayPal about this?

If you received an email about a chargeback being made then this would be the case and something that is a breach of our TOS.#

    Hi everyone,

I'm in a very confusing situation right now and trying to troubleshoot it. Almost a year ago now, April 2025, I bought some new Sims titles, Life and Death, and Business&Hobbies. And because we game on a budget here, I bought them with pay-in-4. The issue I ran into at the time was that I ended up double-charged. I paid the first pay-in-4 payment, and then got a charge for the full amount directly to my linked bankaccount from EA. I reached out to EA and paypal. EA didn't respond for days, paypal tried to reach them as well. Long story short, EA said they didn't see the 2nd charge and couldn't help, so paypal refunded that one. I got hit with a chargeback accusation and marked with a fraud warning. First time that's happened to me. I tried appealing it then to no avail, despite having been in contact with EA, over several attempts, before the refund.  Eventually, they just took the games back. Which put me in a rather poor mood, and I didn't play The Sims for a while. And with all the news that came later, I wasn' t really in the mood.

But several titles, like the Fairy EP, that came later, were ones I had been quite literally waiting a decade for. So I decided to just get them now, and rebuy the ones I had lost before. Important context, since then I have upgraded my laptop storage and so the sims 4 was not even installed on my laptop. No games were. And so last week I attempted to redownload, and when I did I saw a notice saying that the games had been taken and that my account was on notice for fraud from April 2025. Still. I reached out to appeal and explain the situation again, no dice. I decided to move-on and buy the games today. But could not launch them properly.

I reached out to EAhelp, unsure if it was an issue from overzealous OneDrive folders refusing to fully delete interferring with the install, or something worse. What if it was related to this warning on my account? After explaining my concerns to the agent, I was told that he simply could not help me. That because there was a warning on my account there was nothing he could do, and he rushed off the chat after telling me to appeal again. The problem is, (though I  think that there are several problems here) all that shows on my account is a warning. There is no verbiage of a suspension or a ban. So I don't understand why it would affect my ability to play. It definitely did not stop the sale of games to me earlier today. And if that is the case, I do not understand why it would stop an agent from helping me troubleshoot why my game cannot launch.

And if I was supsended, or even banned, there should be some notice of that. Especially given 10 months have passed since the incident. And it was not an issue of my own creation. I was not even given the benefit of the doubt, nor assistance in getting rid of the 2nd charge properly, so that the payment plan could move forward in its time.

I am not sure what to do at this point, as eahelp refuses to assist and simply refers me to the team for appeals. The appeal team has so far denied my appeals. And there is no back and forth there for explanations, or any detail on their decision-making. Which means, if this is a technical issue, I can get no assistance from eahelp simply because they see the warning and think I am out of their jurisdiction. I only have the warning because someone refused to help 10 months ago. And now I am left with deep regret for deciding to buy these new games, thinking that I could ignore the slight I felt at being accused of fraud. Foolishly thinking that it was just a warning and they would erase it soon enough, especially after seeing this purchase go through normally.

Hi, yes, I spoke to PayPal after being told by the eahelp agents that they could neither see the 2nd charge nor help with it at all. Meanwhile, the pay-in-4 plan was still active. Paypal ended up refunding the 2nd charge, but then I got hit with a chargeback, and everything went awful. Since the order ended up like that, no pay-in-4 plan. No games, and a warning on my account. But now I am still dealing with the same issue affecting my account to this day. I actually just made a post about it.

The whole experience was so upsetting I hadn't even touched the sims for months, and when I finally wanted to again, I found that I still had a warning on my account. And a little notice about all the games and freebies for early purchase, that had been removed from my account due to this issue. And now I am having issues with launching the game.

Hey LBonne24 seems to be a lot going on and can understand the frustration. If our live support team advised that you will need to appeal a ban then the best thing I can recommend is to take a look at this help article and follow the steps to speak with our team about this.

We don't have the ability to discuss your account with you on the forums so we'd not be able to assist much further with this here

I appealed again yesterday, as advised by eahelp, and just got back another email saying that they had processed the violation correctly and because I reached out this second time, the matter would be considered closed. There was no mention of whether there were additional sanctions on my account other than a warning. I understand that you can't go into my account deeply on the forums, which makes sense, but is there a way to speak with anyone on the phone at all? I feel like of there had been someone to speak with on the phone when this first happened I wouldn't be here today with this issue..

I have tried to go through all proper avenues from the onset of this issue, there's literally a trail on this site as well. Including the ea app error I experienced earlier that day prior to purchasing any games. And those issues were reached out to with eahelp as well. All of which should have shown that whatever caused the error with the later double charge wasn't on my end but some system error likely from the ea app. But I got penalized instead.

    I'm at a loss.

Looking at the article on locks, bans, and suspensions; because they gave me a warning due to charge back,  and took the games that were purchased,

but left account access that should have been the extent of it. That's it. My games should all work. But aren't. Which means eahelp should've been able to assist me, but didn't, and if I'm reading this wrong, it would've been nice if the agent who sent the above email just gave any clarity when I asked if they could, on the status of my account.

Sorry to say LBonne24 but if after multiple investigations our team declined the appeals and upehld the ban then there would be nothing that we can do to change this.

I know you wanted better news but we simply cannot assist with these issues here. You can try appealing again and gathering as much additional information as you can.
