EA Account Disabled help!

I recently downloaded the open beta Battlefield 6 to my playstation 5, i was met with a mesaage to reset my passwaord with a QR code provided at prompt, i scanned the QR code and Error404 come up. i then made a new EA account thinking this would fix everything but soon as i went to link to my PSN account i got a message prompt stating i already had an ea account linked to my PSN account. i have tried every method using EA help. made a claim and yet no reply, there is no live chat or help support number to call to have this fixed. please somebody shed some light on how to fix this issue, i seriously dont know why it is this hard to fix, EA needs to find a better solution for this as many people i know who havent used there ea accounts in years are in the same boat, most of them happen to be Call of duty  battle royal players and was excited to hear the hype around Battlefield 6 dropping soon. it has put them all of from wanting to purchase as this headache around same issue is very common for all of them.

  • Hey alexterito,

If you're getting an error message saying your PSN account is already linked to an EA account, but the email address appears disabled, it means the EA account credentials have expired, and you can reset the password to reactivate it.

If resetting the password doesn't work, you might have registered a new EA account using the same email address. In that case, you can try changing the email on the new EA account and resetting the password once again, it should then correctly reactivate the old EA account.

If the above doesn't work, please hang in there to hear back from the Customer Support team you already reached out to. An advisor would need to have a closer look at the account; I appreciate your patience with this!

Thanks for the information.  I'm currently dealing with an Xbox account, I did check the guide you posted just to see if there was anything I missed. Unfortunately I can't just unlink my Xbox account from whatever email it is linked up with.

    Hi iiiDaxter

I wish I could, but we don't have that ability to make account changes from the Forums. You may be able to update the email on your side:

This means your EA account has expired and has been disabled, usually because of inactivity. To fix it, find the right email you used for that EA account and reset your password. Once you do, your email will replace the @disabled.ea.com one, and you’ll get access again. - Source: [GUIDE] EA Account Help: Disabled Account

I recently went through this. I was getting a "credentials have expired" message and instructions to reset my password. I did, so MANY times. Then, when I tried to link my EA to my Xbox account (recently switched to Xbox) and it said my account was tied to "49*****.disabled.ea.com". FAQ page was worthless and most people's advice of "just reset your password" was absolutely useless. I resolved the issue by waiting to speak with an agent over their chat feature. It sucked having to wait so **bleep** long but I ended up talking to someone. They got my account unlinked from the "49*****.disabled.ea.com" email and I was then able to link my EA account to my Xbox account. They told me its because I was inactive on console for so long. Which is true, it had been years since I played an EA game. Lucky it was resolved but it did take 2 hours to talk to someone. If you're having the same issue I was having, you will not get any help unless you go to support. Emailing for help wont work. I did that and they would just close my case and mark it as solved.

Still not getting any help from support, funny you guys allow people to add new accounts as a linked account to EA and won't allow us to remove them.

  • I have the same problem, and allready sent in 8 cases, never got any answer, never was able to join a chat either, phone number no longer exist..., at this point i think the "operators" are bots or an IA. We will never get our account unlinked.

I gave up, and just forget about EA and their games. They don't want us to play, and don't need our money, it seems. So just forget them. Worst company.

I joined many companys because of old accounts with no email anymore or other problems ( ubisoft, activision, sony, xbox) and allways got a solution from them, but with EA its impossible.
