EA not letting me link my PSN account.
Hi big_gr0g,
Sorry to hear about missing the playtest due to this. It sounds like you may have two PSN accounts rather than just having changed the name previously. This is potentially why you're getting the message about the lifetime link, as your original PSN account is already linked to your EA account. If it were just a name change, then there probably wouldn't be any need to re-link anything. At least I didn't need to re-link my platform account when I changed my gamertag for my account on console a while back, although admittedly that is an Xbox account instead of Playstation, but it should be the same in theory.
Unfortunately, the only people who can access account details to make any changes are EA Help. It's just not something anyone on these forums can do for security reasons. I know you asked not to be recommended this, but I'm afraid that you will need to go back to EA Help to ask for their assistance with this. However, it may be worth trying a live chat instead of an email case. The steps below just gave me the option to initiate one, so hopefully they do the same for you.
- Choose the "EA Account" option on the EA Help site.
- Select "See all help topics" on the next page.
- Pick the "I want to move my stuff to another account" support option.
- On the next page, you should be offered a live chat. If the option does not appear for you, try the steps again in incognito mode and/or signed out of the EA Help site.
