Email problems

Okay so I'm able to log into here by email but when I try to change my username (its old) and needs a code verification from my email but I'm not getting any emails?? I checked my spam and promotion folders and nothing?? But my ea account on my pc where I play the sims still has me logged in so I'm worried if I log out and relog I'll lose my account?? Is the emails bugged?
