Steam is still linked to my old banned EA account

Hi, I need help with a linking issue.

My Steam account is still connected to an old EA account that got banned in Apex Legends. I recently created a new EA account using the same email as my Steam, but Apex always tries to connect Steam with the old banned EA account.

I tried the “Unlink” option on EA Help, but the button does nothing (no response at all). I tested with Chrome, Incognito, and other browsers but the issue remains.

Can EA Support manually unlink my Steam account from the old EA account, so I can link it to my new EA account instead? I understand all progress from the banned account will be lost.
