Steam Sync Problem Over a year.
Hello this is my EA account however. some time ago my steam account was stolen I got it back but over the years I wanted to play some EA games via steam that is when I discovered there was an EA account that does not belong to me already synced to my steam so I let it go and after some time I tried to contact EA support to play another EA game via steam they asked bunch of question's about the EA account's who does it belong to etc. which I have told it is not mine. despite the fact I have been trying to remove this EA account so I can synch my own EA account to my own Steam account nobody was able to help me over countless tries so CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT I CAN PROVE THE STEAM ACCOUNT IS MINE.
Hello there, I completely understand your frustration. It is incredibly disheartening to recover your Steam account only to find an unfamiliar EA account linked to it.
EA Support can only unlink a Steam account if they can first verify ownership of the linked EA account. Even though you can fully prove ownership of your Steam account. Because of this, support cannot bypass security checks to manually unlink them for you.
If there is any chance that EA account belongs to an old email of yours, the best step is to try to recover access to that email so you can log in and manage the link. Otherwise, you will need to reach out to EA Support specifically to see if you can verify ownership of that EA account.
I know this is not the easy fix you were hoping for, but these security boundaries are in place to protect all player accounts.
