The EA PC app is still broken after 3 years

Seeing others comment on this and having run into it for the first time, the EA app is a buggy piece of trash on a good day, but today takes the cake. 

Tried playing Jedi Survivor, no issues until game crashes, send report and try to reopen, EA app refuses to open. 

I have a game that I didn't purchase on an EA platform, dependant on an app that doesn't work, and I cant even talk directly to support stagf because EA doesn't recognize that I own the game that they won't let me play.

Look to old forum posts, and google around. Not one case solved by EA, suggesting that factory resetting your computer is the final troubleshooting option to make their broken app maybe work.

The state of the gaming industry today is truely sad. From being EA, its in the game, to this, destroys any good memories I had playing any of your games, and the nostolgia you are hoping keeps us buying your dying properties fades more every day.
