Update email address

So the EA account that is connected to my Xbox account can no longer be accessed because the email is no longer valid and I believe it was changed without my permission which goes to tell me it was possibly hacked. The problem is, is that it’s still connected to my Xbox account and there no way for me to either change the email address or unlink my Xbox account because it wants me to submit a code that was sent to the unknown email address. I have reached out with support tickets multiple time and they continue to close the tickets out as “resolved” in which they have never contacted me about the issue nor fixed the issue at all. The account was created back in 2013 in which has a lot of saved data on it and I would hate to loose the entire account, I don’t see why it’s such a big issue with updating a email address on a account. I have already reached out to google multiple time in which it goes no where because the email is not mine in which I don’t know the verifications to get into that email. All I’m trying to do is unlink my Xbox account that way I can link it to my new EA account or either update the email that is currently connected to my Xbox account. Has anyone had a issue like this get resolved and how would I go about it because the support system for this company is terrible. 

  • So I was finally able to get the issue resolved through EA support, after multiple tickets and waiting for days and just sitting on the wait screen for the EA chat I finally got a agent and was able to update the email address in which completely allowed me to gain access back into my old account, it’s most definitely a annoying process but the patience was worth it in the end. Hope this helps!!

    I know you’ve already reached out, but I recommend contacting EA Help again via https://help.ea.com/en/ea-account/ and selecting “Compromised EA Account.” Be sure to include all relevant details, including the suspected unauthorized changes. I understand the process has been frustrating, but they’re the only team equipped to resolve this.

    I Contacted the support team probably 10 times and only got connected once after letting my phone sit there for five hours and once we started the conversation, it went on for about 10 minutes and after that, the connection was lost and it ended my conversation and I had no access to get back to that process. That wasted about six hours of my time and still got nowhere. I understand that the only team that can assist me with this situation in the support team, but it’s kind of hard to get a situation fixed when they have no interest of fixing that situation for me.

    I'm in the same situation. The email it says my account is linked to says it's a disabled EA account. Sent a few tickets, all say resolved but nothing was actually resolved. If I am able to get it resolved I'll post back here.

    overadjustmentz​ I'm glad you got that solved. Usually, the wait times are lower, but due to beta releases this past week, they have increased.
