Will EA ever bring more games to GOG.com?

It has been some time since EA has brought games to GOG and many people are wondering if and when the next games will be released.

I won't lie I haven't logged in to the EA App in over 2 years now and I would have no issue double dipping to buy the games on GOG to get a DRM-free copy.

GOG have a Dreamlist showing the demand is their and growing:

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/mass-effect-trilogy The Mass Effect Trilogy has over 42,000 votes.

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/dead-space-2 Dead Space 2 is almost 14,000 votes

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/command-conquer-red-alert-2 C&C:RA2 alone is over 18,00 votes

https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/american-mcgee-s-alice The original Alice game is over 78,151 and with the GOG Preservation Program they would be more than happy to do the work to get the game working on modern hardware.

The demand is their, I have bought every EA game on GOG and with the Preservation Program in place at GOG you could essentially just hand them the files and they do the work to get the games updated and running meaning profit for minimal effort.

Please bring more games to GOG.

I forgot to mention Black & White 1 and 2. I realize the rights are probably split between EA and Microsoft, but I did want to mention:

    https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?show_only_unreleased=1&sort=global_wishlist_votes_count&order=desc

Black & White is the #1 most-voted Dreamlist game at 124,000 votes

Black & White 2 is also in the top 10, at 104,000 votes

Command & Conquer: Ultimate Collection is also in the top 10, at the previously-mentioned 89,000 votes.

Hello. I rarely post messages on forums here. But it's important that we all show that there are customers on GOG who want EA games.

EA still has a lot of great games in reserve that deserve to be properly preserved. And GOG is the best place for that. Please, EA, don't let your old games gather dust.

I agree with all the games mentioned by the people above. Personally, I'm looking forward to Black & White 1/2, The Sims 1/2/3, Alice, etc.
I hope we will be heard.

    Thank you

These are the games I'm most looking forward to from EA on GOG.

  • Was looking at the All time best selling games on GOG and it does look interesting:

    #8 Dungeon Keeper 2 / EA

    #9 Theme Hospital / EA

#16 Dragon Age: Origins / EA

    #18 Alpha Centauri / EA

Not counting CD Project - EA has the most games in the Top 20 best selling All time list on GOG.

Adding another (albeit a pretty delayed) voice.

All the EA classics, especially from ~2012 and before are in a very high demand. Not sure about the prospects of the original Mass Effect games for example, now that they have a Remaster, but the classic versions would be very welcome.

A lot of GOG users already own everything or nearly anything EA has put there and are hungry for more, waiting to throw money your way. And it's been quite a while since the last EA drop on GOG. Still waiting for that Medal of Honor: Airborne!!!

As for newer stuff, the Command & Conquer Remaster is a prime candidate for a GOG release.

In the case of the Mass Effect trilogy, Legendary Edition already removed the multiplayer, so nothing else would be lost by also removing the EA App integration, which is something wouldn't be allowed on a GOG release. Similarly, Dragon Age Origins is already there, and Dragon Age II would only need the EA App integration removed. Inquisition would require a little more work due to the Keep, unless they were to put out an offline version, like how Pillars of Eternity II has its equivalent built into the game.
