***SOLUTION*** (well for me)
I had the same problem as everyone else. PS5 would crash/turnoff to black screen after 10 minutes of play and I had to unplug/replug it in before it would turn back on. The solution was to unplug your controller charging cables from your PS5 (and probably any other accessories if applicable).
I don't have to do this with any other game. So now that I finished my playthrough, I plugged my charging cables back in permanently. Note that my out-of-box charging cable actually died very recently (after a few long sessions of Split Fiction coincidently; it stopped charging my controllers). So I replaced it with a 2-pack of Anker USB-A to USB-C cables which work great (plugged into the back). But I could not leave them plugged in while playing Split Fiction without the crashing issue 🤷♂️.
FoxOko Thank you for the details on this one. I will pass it along but I will reach out to other threads to see if these steps worked for them as well!
Happy to see you were able to play without it crashing on you!
