  • Hi. Im having the same issue as 100 others where we send an invite for it takes two through EA and they dont recieve it. 

    Both of us have checked to see that notifications are on, i have been receiving notifications from EA and also thst overlay in game is on. 

    We both have different specs on PC with different motherboards and all that. 

    How can we fix this issue that seems to have been here since 2019 without any fix from EA

    ive had the same problem trying to play with my partner tonight.
    This is so upsetting since i purchased the game just to play together.

    Been playing without a problem for like 2 weeks when all of the sudden on Sunday the invites suddenly just don't appear. I think this was after an update to the EA app as well. I've tried the aforementioned solutions and nothing works.

    Really frustrating since this is a literal co-op game and a basic working function like invites isn't even working, which is a necessity to even play the game.  Shows me that EA doesn't really give a darn about its customers.

  • My friend and I have been trying to play. I own the game and she has the friend pass through steam. Since they added in being able to invite through steam, we tried that. My friend gets an error that says "an error occurred while launching this game: No licenses". Like I said, I bought the game through steam. When I try to invite her through the EA app, she doesn't get the invite. I am reading a lot about EA revoking license to games through steam and that makes me concerned that maybe that happened here. We were able to play a few weeks ago and then hadn't played since. Tried last night and tonight.

    Hey @fiestymamawolfe 

    To confirm you both are on Steam, and she owns the Friends Pass version on steam?

    Recently (see my post above) It Takes Two had an update that changes a bit on how it launches with Steam. She may need to uninstall the Friends Pass version and reinstall the one available on Steam to check if she continues getting that error message.

  • We both are on Steam. Shes already tried that. Ive also reinstalled the game. Ive checked driver updates.

    Hey @fiestymamawolfe 

    To confirm does she get the message when launching the FP version or when trying to get to the online section?

    Also, would it be possible to get the following from her account and device?

     

    • Platform (or client):
    • EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
    • If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
    • If on PC, please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number

    We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

  • I will attach the picture she sent me when she tries to accept it through steam. She just doesnt get the invite at all through the EA app, so no error when there's no invite. I am waiting for a response for the rest. I do know she is on steam. Her EA is Oktanxbye. I am waiting for the dxdiag. 

  • game works fine now, a long time coming but a job well done. thank you for your service and dedication.

    Hey @fiestymamawolfe 

    Apologies for the delay I've passed this on to the team, when your friend has a moment can they try the following and check if the error continues?

    1. Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
    2. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    3. Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    4. Delete the "License" folder.
    5. Test once more.

  • They did that and went ahead and uninstalled it. They went to reinstall it and got a whole different error. But she was able to accept my game invite through Steam.
