EA Play / Xbox link issues (update credentials)

Hiya all,

To sum up my issue, I haven't had a console for many years and this week got a Xbox series X, with Game Pass Ultimate with includes EA Play.

I can download EA Play games no issue, but I cannot play them online as it won't connect to my account.

- My account credentials need updating (password needs changing basically)
- But the email it was linked to years ago is no more.
- I have an EA Play sub automatically linked to a dead email.
- EA won't tell me what the email was.
- Microsoft won't tell me what the email was.

So at the moment I'm left with a 2 year subscription I cannot log into.

Does anyone know how to unlink it from wherever it is linked? Or do they know who/what/where I can contact to find where it's been linked.

I find it odd that EA can auto link my account to one from many years ago but then not be able to tell me where it's linked.

Unfortunately there is no way around this. If you don’t have access to the EA account that is linked or you can’t verify any of those details then there is no way of unlinking your Xbox account.
There is also no way of verifying your Xbox account because EA doesn’t have access to your Xbox details from Microsoft.
The process of linking still works the same way today. If you sign in to an EA game on your console using a EA account then it automatically becomes linked in order for you to play the game.

UNABLE TO UNLINK MY PERSONALL XBOX ACCOUNT FROM AN OLD EA ACCOUNT
Ive tried mutliple times to remove the accounts. I have 100% access to my xbox/microsoft account and had just purchased a 9.99 gamepass account and I cant access the EA PLAY games due to having no way of removing an old ea account.
The EA account has an email that Yahoo has locked down, their customer service wont help me recover the email to change the password to my Ea Account.
The phone number has been obsolete for 4 years almost 5 due to remembering the information for my main EA Account. but I Know it
the password i have is old and is not letting me access to the account, the email is locked, I have moved away from the OLD IP address, I nolonger have any cards relating to my past purchases if i had purchased anything.
I know the old address I lived in.
I know my birthdate
I know the log in for my XBOX but it wont let me use it as an option to log in due to needing a verification code from a locked down email or a phone thats not in use.
I had never purchased anything and had been using the old ea to connect my Dragonage and My masseffect games to eachother and edit off the timeline pages available by Bioware.
WHY CANT I HAVE MICROSOFT REMOVE THE OLD ACCOUNT FROM MY XBOX WHY IS EA SO CONTROLLING OF EVERYTHING

Sorry to say @AllyssaSLempke but if our live support team has been unable to assist you then there is nothing that we can do on AHQ to change this.
