EA play launcher will not work.

I already have had a constructive conversation with EA's Support.

I can not access any games from the EA launcher. I originally had a really hard time even logging in, and I finally managed to get the game I wanted to play to download. However I couldn't play it, or anything else. I could off of Origin, but not EA Play. There isn't anything they or I could do. I tried repairing, un installing, and re installing along with trying to move program files, renaming them etc. Its just a matter of waiting until they can fix it.

I know this sucks, and I am pretty annoyed, but I do want to remind other players, its not Help Support/Customer Support, or Tech Supports fault. If you do end up talking to them, please be kind. Being rude wont help solve the problem, and it will make it more difficult for the person trying to help. I am sure there is a Programmer locked away in some area going bonkers screaming at the code and asking why it wont work. Be patient with them, and perhaps prompt EA to give them cookies, and stress duckies as they work through this. Or, maybe its there silent cries for help, who knows.

In all seriousness, I really wish they would just let us use the old clunky Origin launcher until the new shiny EA launcher no longer bars us from playing our collections of digital reality.  Hopefully this can get resolved soon.

  • I have downloaded my game I want to play, and it doesn't mater what game it is, EA wont launch it. In this picture, it's The Sims 4. I have followed all the fixes I could find, and talked to support. But they did say I should also make a forum post, so I did. Anyways. this or a variation pops up every time I try to launch a game from the launcher.

  • I have no mods. It is the base game, no add on's, nothing. It will not work. The launcher is bugged. But, this is exactly what I did.

    Downloaded EA's Launcher

Downloaded 5 games. The Sims 4, Sims Medival, Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon age Inquisition ( I have a goal of 100% all three on the same device)

Closed and shut down my computer for the night.

Launched EA's Launcher to play a game. Error

Launched a different game to check, Error.

    Googled the code.

Closed any open applications, tried to rename game file, cant.

Tried moving File to Desk top. Cant.

    Repaired EVERY game, twice.

    Launched game, Error.

    Tried another Game, Error.

Deleted and re installed JUST Sims 4 base game to test.

    Launched game, Error.

    Repaired Launcher

    Launched Game, Error.

Downloaded Origin and had it verify my games, but could not play them due to a screen lock that makes you use EA's new launcher.

    Deleted BOTH, completely un installed.

    Re-installed ONLY EA launcher

Re downloaded JUST Sims 4 Base game

    Launched Game, Error.

Gave in and contacted tech support. Who informed me that many other players are having an the same issue, and that people are trying to fix it. It is just a waiting game till its fixed, and asked to make a Forum post. I can only assume so that when others Google it, and reach wits end they do not feel alone.

If I missed something, I will try again. I know I ran the repair feature multiple times. But, I don't have a fix.

Oh I totally forgot to add, I had to repair the launcher on the second day after I closed it and shut down my computer, because it would not even log in. It had errors on EA launcher log in. So I had to repair it, and then when that didn't work is when I did my FIRST un install, re install of the launcher. I only fought with it for about 6 hours while I did other stuff....

  • No, I only have the one user account on my PC, I will give it a try real quick.
