PS5 - EA PLAY - ACCOUNT CHANGING

Hello,

We just bought a new PS5 Pro. My husband usually plays FC25 on PC, and he got the PS5 Pro to play FC26. We’re planning to get an EA Play subscription to play games together, but he mentioned that if he links his current EA account (the one he uses for FC25 on PC), he might lose his existing data. So we’re not going to connect his EA account until he switches to FC26.

In the meantime, can I link my own EA account to the PS5, get a 1-month EA Play subscription, and then switch to his EA account later when we’re ready? Is it possible to change the EA account on the PS5 after some time?

Also, when we get EA Play, are games like It Takes Two, The Sims 4, and FC26 available for free? We're completely new to PlayStation, so I wanted to ask.

  • Hi there, berilerkaya ,

Thanks for your questions! Here’s what you need to know:

    1. EA Account Linking on PS5: Once you link an EA account to a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, you can’t unlink it and switch to a different EA account on that same PSN account. So, if you link your EA account now, you won’t be able to change it to your husband’s EA account later. It’s best to wait and link the account you want to use long-term. More info: EA Help – Unlinking Accounts

    2. EA Play Subscription and Game Access: With EA Play, you get access to a library of games as long as your subscription is active. Games like It Takes Two and The Sims 4 are usually included, but the list can change. For new games like FC26, EA Play may offer early access trials, but the full game might not be included right away. You can check the current list here: EA Play Game Library

    3. Account Sharing: According to our Terms of Service, account sharing is not recommended. Each player should use their own EA account and PSN account. Sharing accounts can lead to security issues and may violate EA’s rules. More info: EA Terms of Service

    4.  Getting Started: If you’re new to PlayStation, remember that each PSN account can only be linked to one EA account, and this can’t be changed later.

    Hope this helps!

berilerkaya, Yes, absolutely, that’s actually recommended. You and your partner should each create separate PSN accounts, with each PSN account linked to its respective EA account. Please note, however, that the EA Play subscription cannot be shared between accounts.

    Hello,

First of all, thank you for your quick response.

Can I create multiple PSN accounts? For example, can I first create a PSN account for myself and connect my EA Play subscription to it, and then later log out and switch to another PSN account created for my husband, and connect his EA account to that one?

    Is this possible?
