Hello @EA_Leeuw
I purchased EA Play subscription through Steam. Although both my EA Account and Steam account are linked, the EA systems does not recognise that I indeed have an EA Play subscription. There is a screenshot from my EA Account page below. It does not apply EA Play discounts on both Origin and the new EA App and shows "Join EA Play" buttons on menus. I don't have any problem claiming a game through Steam via EA Play. My problem is simply the EA Play subscription from Steam does not show in my EA account, EA Play subscription is not synced.

@CDJSlayer06, ah, now I get you.
When buying EA Play via Steam, you can only claim games that are available for EA Play for Steam. It doesn't work for Origin/EA app, if you have EA Play for Steam. Same with EA Play for Origin/EA app, it doesn't work for Steam. Those are considered separate platforms. Problem ishat this is horrible oversight on steam side of things. I can´t play my claimed Jedi fallen order due to this lack os sync. Thanks to ea app being backed in to game´s launch process, it simply won´t launch, because lack of sync menas your purchase is not recongized and so a lot of games within steam library of EA play are unplayeble.

When trying to launch it displays error in attached screen shot. From reading forums there is a way to ovecome this, but it involves jumping trough many hoops to achive it. If steam was willing to refund my purchase, I woudn´t even be here. From my understanding, there infralink of sorts between the 2 iterations of membersip connceted to linking EA and steam accounts, that makes these games work, but linking is hardly perfect and should be inmproved in oredr to eliminate this problem.

@HighG, alright, so you have EA Play via Steam and you claimed SWJFO via EA Play for Steam, via Steam itself I suppose, and it doesn't launch and gives you this error, correct? Exactly, the whole question absolutelly correct

@HighG, cheers for the reply.
I just checked your account real quick (which is something we don't normally do via the forums), and everything looks okay from our side.
Just to check; are you still experiencing the issue when you try to launch the game (SWJFO) via Steam?
Error is still there

@HighG, that's unfortunate.
Could you please generate an EA app Error Report ID and share it here in the thread?

Unfortunately I am facing the same issue, I purchased EA play through steam, downloaded FIFA 23 from steam and launched it from steam which them prompted the download of EA app. After logging in with my EA account and linking both Steam Account and EA account the game stops after the first choice made in game, and gives an error message that my EA play subscription is over.

@HighG, thanks.
Could you perhaps try the troubleshooting steps that are mentioned in this post, and see if the issue persists?

Hey @HighG,
Could you please perform an EA app recovery and after that verify the game's files via Steam, where afterwards you start the game via Steam again to see if the issue persists? Sadly dkdn´t help.

Hey @HighG,
Did you perform steps in the specific order of the EA app clear cache first, and Steam game files repair thereafter?
