yearly subscription I can’t login to cancel

I bought a yearly subscription for my daughter 8 years ago and she hasn’t used it since then and I can’t login to cancel

Please can you help me. I bought the EA subscription so she could play online games and I get charged every year as she doesn’t have the login to cancel it. What can I do to get refunded for this and stop these charges? Thanks, Amanda

    Hi Amanda,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The first thing to check is where the EA Play membership was originally purchased, as that determines who manages the subscription and the billing.

If the membership was purchased directly from EA on PC, you can cancel it from the Subscriptions and Memberships section of the EA Account that was used to subscribe. If you can no longer access that account, try recovering it first. You can also try signing in using a linked PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Apple, Facebook, or Google account. If you still cannot get access, please contact EA Help so the account can be recovered. (How to cancel an EA Play membership)

If the membership was purchased through PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Epic, the subscription and its billing are managed by that platform. You would need to cancel it through the relevant platform account and contact that platform's support regarding any billing or refund request. EA cannot process refunds for purchases made through another storefront.

You can usually identify where the subscription is coming from by checking the description of the yearly charge on your bank or card statement.

Regarding a refund, EA Play memberships are generally non-refundable, although exceptions and any applicable statutory rights can apply. We would not be able to confirm or promise a refund through the forums, so if the subscription was purchased directly from EA, EA Help would need to review the account and billing history with you.

Since you mentioned that the subscription was for your daughter, please also keep in mind that EA Accounts are personal accounts and login details should not be shared between people. If this is your daughter's EA Account, use the appropriate account recovery process rather than sharing or transferring the account. Parents can also reset the password of an underage child's EA Account using the child's EA ID, or contact EA Help if they can no longer recover it. (User Agreement - Official EA Site)

Please don't post any email addresses, payment details, account IDs, or other personal account information here on the public forums.

Hope that points you in the right direction.
