F1 24 Career Mode Practice Program while doing 1 of the 3 available will cause F1 24 to freeze then crash to desktop. The current workaround is to avoid that crashing program by doing it on quick practice/simulation. The race will proceed with no crashes as far as I have experienced. But it really kills the immersion. I'm using MOZA R12 and Pit House by the way if we have a common denominator if you too experience the same. Tried to replicate in F1 23 but no same crash experienced there.
same thing happens to me when i do the qualify practice program time i get near the last turn it crashes in the same spot every time i've tried it a good 10 or so times before giving up
- @SturmGraz My experience in career mode is crash every time I do a practice program. Completely closes the game. I'm using VR on PC. Also have another couple of unrelated issues. Two nights of troubleshooting instead of playing. Can't do career mode as give up resource pts without practice programs. Can't do Grand prix races because only get look back view when race starts. This is pathetic release. Seriously.
Haphazardly hit space bar at start of race in Grand Prix and view switched to cockpit and stayed there. Even after closing and reopening game.
unfortunately, does not work on flashback which still only has the rearward facing view.
Same issue for me. While playing in VR it will crash during career mode or two player career whenever trying the third practice program. This happens 100% of the time in VR, but not if I play flatscreen. Does not matter if the third program is Fuel Management or the Qualifying Sim one. attaching dxDiag. Using Quest3 via virtual desktop. 4090, 12900k, 64gb ram
Would say that it happens when the game tries to switch between Big Screen VR mode to VR Car Mode? if so I already made a report for that and would probably be better to bunbdle similar issues together.
- @DepatchMode This does not seem to be my case. It happens while driving and not changing the view. SteamVR also does not crash when I experience the game crashes.
this is not just a VR bug i dont use VR and iam always crashing when doing practice programs which makes it impossible to get the resources needed for upgrades since the quick practice program always seems to fail and takes up too much time never allowing you to get all the resource points for each weekend
Also Crashing when entering the second practice program, In China and in Australia. Did Bahrain and Suzuka with no issue.
Every time on the same bend / same place.

Encountered a similar issue. Did 2 of the 3 programs at Suzuka and then created a mid-session save before doing the Qualifying Pace program. Now that save is stuck in the pits, if I load that save I am more or less guaranteed a crash, no matter if I exit to the main menu or try to skip the rest of P1. Game always seems to crash if I load that save so I guess I am done with Career mode for the time being?

- @TheCreamS0da 100 percent forgot to mention that I am on PC, not in VR and just playing with a gamepad, no sim set up or anything fun like that.
Try turning the wheel first and then open the pithouse software. İt’s strange but it seems to work.
What pithouse software and turn the wheel when?
