Game's UI doesn't adjust when using a resolution higher than 1080p
Hi all. I have a 1440p screen, 16:9, but in the game I have to choose 1980x1080 otherwise the lower content in the game gets cut as if it was 16:10. Even if I manually set 16:9, the issue cannot b...
Looks like we need to enable "Game Mode" in Windows for the resolution to work correctly.
Click on Start and type Game Mode and enable Game Mode in Game Mode settings.
It worked for me, and hopefully it does work for rest of you as well.
EDIT:
You just need to have "Game Mode" enabled once in Windows settings.
Let me explain by steps in detail:
1. We enable Game Mode, and set the resolution to 2560 x 1440p, (it will work fine, but please verify by playing a quickfire race, and recording a gameplay), and we close the game.
2. We disable "Game Mode" in Windows settings and launch F1 24.
3. F1 24 will continue to work in 2560 x 1440, despite having "Game Mode" turned off in Windows settings.
4. Even with "Game Mode" off in Windows settings, we can change resolutions within the game, and the game will not revert resolution to 1024 x 768.
Whatever resolution we choose, will keep saving as working as we set. (I tried it with every single resolution, and all worked).
My Understanding:
This looks like a one-time thing that Windows Operating System / F1 24 game needs to make a handshake claiming it's a "Game", so that all the resolutions available within the game work fine within the F1 24 game resolution options.
General Note:
It is not mandatory or compulsory to disable "Game Mode". I personally keep Game Mode off, as I don't see any performance gain or improvement with it having enabled in my Windows settings.

My 4K blurry broken pixelated issue is fixed after I replaced my hardware_settings_config.xml C:\Users\XXXXX\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\F1 24 with the same file from f1 23 or it can be fixed by manually editing hardware_settings_config.xml with notepad and replaced with the following, your F1 should change the hardware specs:
I have literally had this same issue since the beta's. I have a 4k 120hz LG Oled C3 I play on and it will not go past the standard resolution. No matter how many times I change it.
