Can’t access rivals or champions

My son cannot play Rivals of Champions. You press x to enter but he gets kicked straight off. This has been going on for 24 hours now. He is even unable to collect rivals rewards. Any assistance??

    The PlayStation Network was down for a few hours today, but it's back up now. You should be good to play again. Please let us know if you have any other issues. Thanks!

Exactly the same here, rivals or champs screen just boots you back to main UT menu
