Companion app - transfered player but not able to add to active team

Hi

I bought a player via the transfer market today. It all went through ok and my money went out

I went to swap a player out of my active squad and the new player was not anywhere to be seen

I went a looked in my players and I found him however even from there it would not let me add him to my team

Any advice?
