EAFC 24 | Anticheat crash on startup

Problem: I press launch game within the EA App, the EA AntiCheat spalsh logo appears, then disappears, then the EA App returns. EAFC24 does not start.

I've paid for EA play pro for a while now, as it allows me to save money instead of paying £60 on 2 franchises for what ea thinks is a justifiable "yearly release".

Let's go back to Fifa 23 for a second - it gets released...oh..can't play it as it crashes on the anticheat startup. Ah that's okay, someone's made a bypass for it. No problem, I don't care about online play anyway (Ultimate team is the worst and no one can change my mind on that).

EAFC 24 releases...the same problem. The exact. Same. Problem.

I have tried every single solution:

- "Secure Boot" and "Firmware TPM 2.0" enabled in the BIOS.

- Re-installed EAFC24

- Re-installed the EA App

- Re-installed EA AntiCheat using the EA AntiCheat installer. (Uninstalled, then Installed, then repaired.)

- Installed the "Digital Certificates" for the EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe and EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll

- Installed the "All in One" Visual C redist package

- Installed all DirectX.cab files

Aside from Fifa 23 and EAFC24, I do not have issues launching any other game. The common denominator? EA Anticheat.

HOW CAN YOU THINK IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO CREATE YOUR OWN ANTICHEAT, IF YOU CAN'T EVEN GET IT TO WORK?!?!?!?!

The fact that I've had to go to all this effort, just to try [and not even get to...] play virtual football.... is a joke. The people that developed EA Anticheat need to seriously take a good long look at themselves and try and understand where it's all gone wrong . The fact that there has been no public announcement, even though there are very clearly so many people having this exact same problem...it's all a complete and utter farce.

It's safe to say I'll be cancelling EA Play Pro, because there's literally no point in me paying for it anymore.

  • Update, for anyone that comes across this post...

If you did all of the troubleshooting steps and none of them worked. I'm afraid to inform you that it'll literally require factory resetting your PC and redownloading everything to stop EA Anticheat from crashing.

I decided to do this for one reason - I luckily have a gaming laptop that I decided to test EAFC 24 with....and it loaded with no issues. So I took the gamble of factory resetting my rig, and the gamble paid of this time.

  • @iamNibs I have a fresh w11 install. Everything works but FC24.

I'll ask mastercard to cancel the payment. Sue for emotional damage on behalf of my son :D
  • Ha. This is just beginning of problems. In my case (game installed like all others on NVMe drive), EA FC 24 and FIFA 23 were the only games to crash the drive that it becomes inaccessible. Have to restart whole PC. It can happen in menus or... in games.

No other game ever crashed my drive. Only FIFA/EA FC. This whole anti cheat nonsense should be scrapped. It doesn't even work properly lol.

  • I did everything i found online but nothing worked so then i factory reset my PC and even then after only downloading Steam and FC24 it still just crashes right after the EA Anti cheat shows up. To be more specific, the anti cheat comes up, it fully loads then closes after which a window with FC24 shows up but is just fully black. If anyone finds a way to solve this issue please dm me on discord, my username is 9avian

  • @iamNibs worse part, the game is still brimming with cheaters. I had the same problems with FIFA 23, at some point the EA Anticheat workarounds stopped working, luckily was after 100 hours so i didn;t care much. For EAFC24 tried the trial, didn't work. Today i tried in Steam, where it is free this weekend. Same thing. I will not buy it until that is fixed, obviously. And eafc25 probable will have the same problem, which is stupid.
